health & support services

IMPORTANT - If your child is going to be absent from school for any reason, including health reasons, please email us (attendance@theprojectschool.org) to let us know. The front office will then alert your child's teachers.

Health Office
The Project School is staffed by a full time health aide, Laura Hamel. She is available to administer medications, treat minor injuries, and assess medical situations. The Health Aide can be reached by calling the main school number (812.558.0041 ext 2003), or emailing Laura.

It is essential that all parents and guardians alert the school about health needs or concerns. If you have information about your child that you have not shared in your registration materials, please let us know immediately.

Download the 2016-2017 state immunization requirements by grade. All immunization records (or letters of explanation for why immunizations have not been administered) must be into the school office by September 1 of each school year.

Medication
All medications - whether prescribed or over the counter - must be brought into the school by a parent or guardian, and given directly to the front office staff or Health Aide. A form must be completed for the parent or guardian, which instructs how the medication will be administered. The medication must remain in the health office for all administration. We prefer that the parent or guardian then collect the medication back when administration has concluded. Questions should be addressed with the Health Aide.
