Due to road conditions, TPS is holding an all-virtual learning day today (Friday, January 19). Please check email for a description of the asynchronous learning activities (none requiring technology use) for each grade level. Wishing everyone a safe and warm day, and a good weekend ahead.

TPS will be operating on a 2-hour delay again tomorrow, Wednesday, January 17. Doors will open at 10a, and classes will begin at 10:15a. MCCSC has just called this delay for their district, and as is our policy, TPS follows the decisions of MCCSC when both are in session. We look forward to seeing you tomorrow by 10:15a. Wishing everyone continued warmth and safety.

Good morning! As we prepare for our delayed opening this morning (classes beginning at 10:15a), we want to alert everyone that although the heat is working in all our spaces, it's still a bit chilly inside our buildings. It's hard for any system to keep up with these temps! We urge all staff and students to dress in layers, to make sure they are comfortable throughout the day. Looking forward to seeing everyone soon, for a day honoring Dr. King!

Happy weekend, TPS families! We hope that everyone stays warm and safe, as the temperature will be dropping! A reminder that we ARE in school on Monday for MLK Day, when we'll spend the day honoring the legacy of Dr. King. Remember that we'll be doing a laundry supply collection as part of the day, to support the guests of Beacon, Inc. If you'll be participating in this service project, and will be shopping at Kroger this weekend, a TPS parent just let us know that they currently have a digital coupon for $2.49 Arm & Hammer laundry detergent (usually $6.49) in their app! ๐Ÿ™‚

Due to increased COVID numbers in our school, we have made the difficult decision to postpone the Variety Show until next semester. We will share the date with everyone as soon as it is arranged. Tomorrow will be a regular Friday school day instead. The MCUM food drive WILL still go on as planned tomorrow, but the collection bin will be at TPS instead of The Club. Please send in non-perishables with your kiddos if you are able. Thank you for your understanding about the event postponement, and thank you for helping us to feed the community!

TPS Families, please take note: The Variety Show on Friday the 15th will begin at 8:45a, rather than the previously announced time of 8:30a. Please adjust your schedules accordingly. We don't want folks showing up too early, and having to sit around for an additional 15 minutes, when it will already be a long (and enjoyable!) morning!

Our tremendous thanks to TPS parents Melody Lynch-Kimrey and Michael Weinman, and TPS teacher Ishika Sinha, for spearheading International Night last week. They did such a wonderful job organizing inspirational and joyful learning experiences. Our gratitude to all the IU international centers and museums who shared their time and expertise with us. Huge props to our International Night Passions Class students for creating a stunning welcome station. And our very special thanks to the Duncan family for organizing their own family display (a great model for other families for future years!), and for donating the amazing raffle basket of Jamaican goodies! The winner of the basket has been notified. Our thanks to everyone who purchased raffle tickets โ€“ together we raised $180 that can be used for future international learning. If youโ€™re on Facebook, check out the album of beautiful photos from the event!
